Are you ready?

After what seemed to me like "the eternal absence" I am backkk!!!! So prepare for the info overload!
You may ask yourself... Where was she? and Why hasn't she given us any feedback on NYC fashion week?
Well I wasn't in New York I'll tell you that much! I was actually laying in bed with a bloody cold! (.. maybe the X Factor is starting to grow on me) .. but anyways although delirious and unable to come up with a decent post I did watch closely all the new fall trends presented in NYC.. and as you may have already guessed... I have my favorites.. and not so favorites.. so be on the look out for that :)
So first up on my list of things to blog about is my Bebe leather jacket I told you guys about back in January.

Somehow Miami has become the next Chicago & I have finally given it some use.

Monday for example, I decided to sport my "Balmain inspired Samurai" look.
How does it work? You wear a military jacket with a high hair bun & you are good to go.

Toodles until tomorrow!

Guess what?

After almost a decade of being brunette I decided to jump on the blonde train!!.. well.. the almost blonde train.. I was too afraid to look like (insert super blonde person's name) so instead went for a more subtle Olivia Palermo meets Keira  Knightley look.

The results....

What do you guys think??

p.s Happy Valentine's day

You know I love you..

Shocking!!

I haven't posted too much lately because I have been super sick but this is MAJOR!

Designer Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home today! (Feb. 11, 2010).
It appears to have been the cause of a suicide attempt. McQueen who was only 40 years old
was devastated after his mother's death last week, however the nature of his death is still unsure.

sad sad day for the fashion world..

Rest in peace

You will always be remembered!

It's a girl's world

..or so we thought! Not only are we expected to like football but now we also have to dress like the players! Yes! this spring is all about the sport inspired clothes. It's been all over Elle and Vogue, and quite frankly I don't see the staying power of this trend. $500 sweat pants? Give me a break! But, since I like to see the beauty in everything I found a way to incorporate this trend in my closet.

..Flashback time...

You guys might remember this?

or this?

I am talking about tight high socks.

They come in a variety of colors and textures.. and the ones below from American Apparel are as sporty as sporty gets.

sport trend

Now to the million dollar question.. Would you wear it?

ps. It's almost NYC fashion week!!!!!!!!

Miami's next big thing

It is usually very rare when I am not in the mood for shopping. One of those rare moments is when I am in "starvation" mode. As I raided the streets of Sunset Place looking for a sushi restaurant, my car came to a stop in front a little boutique, with a nicely decorated display window, and a mannequin with a pair of white shorts that screamed BUY ME. I had two options. 1. To keep going and & forget what I had seen before I passed out, and 2. Stop, go in, and suppress your hunger. I know a good thing when I see it, so I decided to go with option 2, and hallelujah for that! Not only did I purchase the “very in” sailor shorts, but I also discovered a new little boutique that you guys might enjoy.
The name is "The Dressing Room", think big couch, huge fitting rooms, and chic trendy clothing.
No wonder I felt right at home!
The store has everything from “hot right now” clothes and one of a kind jewelry to authentic vintage pieces in moderate prices. You can get pretty much anything on a $ 18-$ 120 price range, mostly in the $ 40's and $50's.
.. and that is not all, owners Danielle and Kiki want you to enjoy your shopping experience to the max. They have these so called Ladies Nights (what girl doesn't like one of those) from 5-9 pm every Wednesday where they do a little trunk show of the new styles coming in. Did I mention complementary wine?

So if you live in the area pass by for that last minute outfit!

Remember, "Whoever said that money doesn't buy happiness, didn’t know where to shop."

Just a thought

I have had a looong and stressful day of work & it's only 12:40 pm!!
But thankfully I looked down at my feet and these babies cheered me up.
I realized OMG I am wearing wedges! It's been too long!
Is this a sign that summer is almost here? Now I can't wait to strut my stuff in spring fashion!

Like every other blogger

Ok..at first I refused to talk about the Grammys because I wasn't very impressed, but after seeing this I just had to!.

First Mr. Mr. Jay Manuel.. remind me why you are judging this again?
Second, I do agree with Britney as the worst dressed female, but we already knew she wasn't going to look like a Penelope Cruz.

Joining her in the worst dressed club are Courtney Love wanna be Kesha and Ciara

The worst dressed man is an award well deserved by T-Pain, who repeatedly looks like a clown

...On to the Best Dressed ladies.

Taylor Swift: her Kaufman Franco dress was good, but not the BEST by any means. Although it pains my heart to say this because she is a beautiful girl her dress was rather unflattering... and she is only 2o!! she should have worn something a little more fun.

It was all about the Taylors, Gaga, and Beyonces, but some of the undercover ladies should have been a little more noticed
Example.. the best title should have gone to Keri Hilson. Unexpected.. but Dolce & Gabanna make her look great

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles also looked stunning

as far as best dressed man Zeal was a good choice but did anybody notice Jay Z?
Bow tie check
Black and white suit check
Mr. Knowles has been reading his GQ issue lately

and that's it for the Grammys.
