Today's picks

The movie The Help starting Emma Stone inspired me to do this post based on the 1960s Souther belles.

To create a chic, yet vintage look I am sharing a few of my favorite pieces from Topshop, Asos, KEP jewerly, and Victory Heritage glasses.

This dress is ultra feminine, pair it with red pumps and you can't go wrong.

This denim shirt is fun because it can be worn with flare pants to create a more modern look, or skinnys.

These sunglasses are a major major craving for me right now. They a add vintage touch to any modern outfit.

I love this dress so much. The length is conservative, but the fit makes it super sexy. Add a belt like in the photo to accentuate the waist.

1960s was the decade of pearls. Why not add a fun twist with a bold necklace like this one from KEP.

Mascara review

Let's face it finding a Mascara that actually works is tough. I have tried countless kinds and have yet to find my favorite one. Dior show is great but after a few applications it becomes too sticky, and it breaks my wallet as I constantly try to replace it. Then, on Lauren Conrad's site I found Maybelline Full and Soft as a suggestion for $5 and decided to give it a chance.
I am pleased to inform you that it does the trick! It separates while adding volume and length.

I am also adding here a short guide to my morning "natural" makeup routine, hopefully you guys find it useful.

Do you have a favorite beauty product? Please share!

Rachel Zoe is reading my mind

I have been wanting a pair of black stretch ankle booties for the oh.so.near fall.
Rachel Zoe happens to have a pair in her collection that fits my description like a glove.
Meet Audrey..

Rachel also has unveiled a few looks from her Sophomore collection, and while staying true to her 70s babe aesthetic her pieces have an incredibly chic vibe. I am specially loving the berry maxi and the mod cream dress.

Did I mention her collection is moderately priced?

Happy shopping ladies

All that glitters

Jewelry update:

I've always been a fan of sparkle, and in that department Swarovski always delivers.
These two pieces are fresh from their fall collection and I can honestly say the pictures do them very little justice.

I already own the Louise ring in a red tone, but the wrap around style and black and white contrast make it a must have for the fall season.

As for the chic ring... did I mention purple is the new cobalt blue? (meaning the most dominant color on everything fashion, at least until its reign is overthrown by another hue).

and there you have it!
Shine away!

Pigalle

As if we need another reason to like her, Rosie Huntington has proven that she belongs to the "pigalle wearing celebrity cult."
Obviously, the girl loves her nude pigalle plato's, but she was also spotted wearing black patent leather while on Letterman's show.

Fun fact: Did you know Pigalle is an area in Paris named after sculptor Jean Baptise-Pigalle? and that
it is famous for its night life and home to cabarets such as Moulin Rouge? Oh, also it  was home to Picasso, and Van Gogh.

Latest crush

I am a sucker for ankle booties, and in that field the House of Dior deserves a standing ovation.
These Fall 2011 beauties toughen up the flirty dresses and ultra feminine touch that are staples to the brand, demonstrating that
the Dior girl is not just a one trick pony, and she has the shoes to prove it.

Jewelry find

I came across this Greek jewelry brand (Folli Follie) while browsing Vogue Espana.
At first I thought it would be completely out of my price range because the featured key necklaces looked exquisitely done, but I was happily surprised. Their average prices are from $50-$140, and most of their pieces are rose gold plated.

Here are some of my favorites:

Back to blogging

It is undeniable, I miss you guys!!!
So here is the latest of what I have been working on.
It is called B Magazine. What started as a college project turned into a life consumable pleasure. I enjoyed every bit of the experience: the sleepless nights, the hair pulling, and stress it was all worth it at the end.
I learned of the hard work that goes into these publications and that is more planning than what we readers think.

New celebrity craze

Celebrities seem to love their Daffodil pumps.
It's true that an extra 6.5 inches with a 2.5 platform sounds like quite the deal. But, for some reason I don't see the beauty in these shoes. They look a little odd to me, and too bulky for my taste. Am I the only on who feels this way? or should I get with the program?

Love...

On the shoulder

If you want to make an ordinary outfit ultra chic add a cardigan or blazer over your shoulders without really putting it on. It will give your clothes that "from rags to riches" look instantaneously.
