As if we need another reason to like her, Rosie Huntington has proven that she belongs to the "pigalle wearing celebrity cult."
Obviously, the girl loves her nude pigalle plato's, but she was also spotted wearing black patent leather while on Letterman's show.


Fun fact: Did you know Pigalle is an area in Paris named after sculptor Jean Baptise-Pigalle? and that 
it is famous for its night life and home to cabarets such as Moulin Rouge? Oh, also it  was home to Picasso, and Van Gogh.

New celebrity craze

Celebrities seem to love their Daffodil pumps. 
It's true that an extra 6.5 inches with a 2.5 platform sounds like quite the deal. But, for some reason I don't see the beauty in these shoes. They look a little odd to me, and too bulky for my taste. Am I the only on who feels this way? or should I get with the program?

They are not just shoes, the stories behind them make them special

"I am a firm believer in destiny and from the moment I saw these shoes I knew they were meant to be mine". 

Most people will tell you that their love for shoes is a life long trait that develops when they first try mom's heels by the age of 4... and I agree. I also remember falling a couple of times running to meet my mom at the door with the click clacking of her own heels, then six times bigger than my feet. But that was just love, the obsession came in later; and as far as I can remember this obsession became part of me on a Sunday afternoon halfway through a bowl of ice cream the Sex and the City series.

As soon as I saw those pink Louboutin sandals I just knew. I looked and looked everywhere with no luck; of course I should have know I was not going to find a pair of shoes from the 90's. 

Finally I realized my wishful thinking and started buying other styles and colors until one day in one of my many "carrie bradshaw pink louboutin sandals" google search I found the Mount Street petal sandals.

So similar and yet much more me. The search was over and I felt the relieve. So I called and called and called numerous places and nobody had these shoes all I would get was "these were last season" answers.

By this second heartbreak I'll admit I forgot about them and that brings me to my quote

"I am a firm believer in destiny and from the moment I saw these shoes I knew they were meant to be mine". 

One day window shopping around Neiman Marcus on the sales rack, a little dusty, the petals crumpled   together and half a size smaller were my perfect shoes. I even had no money at the time to splurge but how could I say no? so I said yes!

One for independence day

Ok this has nothing to do with independence day, but don't you guys just love finding dresses in your closet that you almost never wear but that are absolutely perfect for what you have set your mind to wear that specific day?

I most def. do!

That was the case with this DVF dress (which is one of my favorite dresses). It is like 3 seasons old which means almost vintage in fashion, but it never fails to bring a smile to my face :)

Paired with bebe belt and CL Gressimo mules.

by the way it is officially my birthday month!!

I couldn't help but wonder where I had seen these shoes before..

So I did a little research.. and there was the resemblance 

The new Fall Loubotin boot Joe is perfect for the ice skater inspired look Ms. Parker wore to the MTV Movie Awards back in 2000..


I personally love the lace up boots, specially with socks.. (which by the way is one of the top trends for this Fall.)

Job hunting day 1

Sadly I am recently unemployed.. but on a good note I have been called for 3 interviews already and (crossing fingers) hopefully I will soon find a suitable place to work my life away.

Today I decided to enjoy my interview (I am not one to like them) misery by dressing up & posting my business-y outfits for you guys. I had a little bit of a Palermo's vibe today.

Maybe you guys are wondering why my layout picture got a summer makeover. 

I have two answers for you..

1. I am sick of the cold weather &

2. Yesss! I finally bought those precious melon hued stilettos I have been wanting since Christian L. came out with his spring 2010 line!!!! Remember my December post on these?

The knotted mules are more perfect than words can describe...

I went to the store to get one pair of shoes ONE.. I ended up with these too!

For the love of sandals

Designers.. you are killing me here!!
The year has barely started and I am already making a list of the spring shoes I want  need to own.
Everybody seems to be on their A game lately.
Here are my top 3 choices and the peculiar names I chose for each.

1. The Disco stick (n): Christian Louboutin shoes perfect for a club night out. Head-turners. Part of the spring/summer 2010 collection. Really high heels
Synonyms- hot, bright, and fabulous
Sentence- "I sure want to take a ride in these"! 


2. Miss Fierce (n): Christian Louboutin shoes worn only by those who are not afraid of showing off, and carry themselves with confidence. What the Na'vi girls from Avatar would have worn if I would have directed the movie. Attention grabbers.
Synonyms- exotic piece of art, tribal meets gladiator, ferocious
Sentence- Naomi has nothing on your Miss Fierce.


3. The Editor (n) - Yves Saint Laurent shoes highly demanded in the fashion industry. Just like the classic black YSL's tribute sandals but with a summer feel. Must have item if you want to be the next Andrea Sachs.
Synonyms- Olivia Palermo, fashionista, comfort meets New York, social must have
Sentence- A million girls would kill for this job.. and for your shoes.

Lady in red

1940's, decade of the big bands, the jitterbug, the pin-up girls, and Christian Dior's glamour.. and to honor one of my favorite designers I decided to play the femme fatale part for the second part of the 1940's inspired photoshoot.

I am wearing a DVF dress, Coach gloves, Dior sunglasses, Nordstrom statement necklace, and my interlocking C's, and of course KILLERRR Christian Louboutins Their name is Pigalle and they are by far my favorite shoes ever made (that's a great title in my books).

                         

It was freezing, so before we finished the photoshoot I grabbed my photographer's sweater & when I was ready to call it a wrap she decided to snap some more

                          

Ever heard of the phrase “Beauty is pain”? Well, these beauties are  indeed painful.

But at the end of the day when you turn a 1000 heads with them it's worth it

Le petite coquette

This is the first outfit of a vintage inspired photoshoot.

Hopefully you guys like the turn out (or may I say you guys better like the turnout) because I was freeeezing my butt off!

I am wearing Diane Von Furstenberg's Fall 2008 collection, which was 1940's inspired (and my absolute favorite).

As for shoes, I am wearing the Christian Louboutin Open Clic's. Subtle little patent peep toes with a 4.5" heel.
